LUMINESCENCE CHAMBER SINGERS
Luminescence is a vocal ensemble based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country (Canberra, ACT). Led by mezzo soprano AJ America, Luminescence has emerged as one of Australia's most adventurous ensembles, championing our original instrument: the human voice. Roland Peelman has worked closely with Luminescence since 2017 as artistic mentor and conductor. Roland has directed a number of major Luminescence projects, performs regularly with the singers, and works often as a facilitator and mentor in developing newly commissioned repertoire.

A hymnal to the country under our feet.
A living songbook more than four years in the making, Andrew Ford’s hymnal brings together the words of sixteen contemporary Australian writers – poets, essayists, and folksingers. Born in a time of fire and darkness, grief, and loss, and then fragile, tender hope, Red Dirt Hymns are songs of awe and praise, dedicated not to a god, but to the land. -

OF THE BODY
A musical dissection
Drawing inspiration from Renaissance art, music, and science, each movement of Dan Walker’s Of The Body song cycle is devoted to an anatomical part: the eyes, the hands, the mouth, the feet, the blood, and finally, the heart. Paired with some of the rabelaisian Renaissance repertoire, Of the Body traverses sex, sensuality, our flesh and blood, exploring our corporeal form in a distinctly contemporary context. -
